The Role
We’re looking for an inspiring Outdoor Instructor to join the City of Edinburgh Council’s Benmore Outdoor Centre team.
Your mission? To deliver high-quality adventurous activities and outdoor learning experiences for:
* School children from Edinburgh and beyond (core)
* Youth groups, organisations & charities (commercial)
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our experienced team, you’ll plan and deliver adventurous activities with clear development opportunities and learning outcomes for every group.
* Take groups into the wild and inspiring landscapes of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park
* Use your skills, experience, and qualifications to tailor activities and venues to meet the needs of each group
* Play an active role in developing both yourself and the centre’s future

National Governing Body Qualifications:
* Rock Climbing instructor
* BritishCanoeingPaddle Sport Instructor & Touring leader or equivalents
* BritishCycling Level 2 or equivalent

* RYA Dingy Instructor
* RYA powerboat level 2
* D1 Minibus driving entitlement
* Gorge walking and Caving experience

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
