This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Waste/Recycling Site Manager to oversee and manage our site in Dereham. As a growing business, with 7 sites currently operational and further sites due to open in the next 12-18 months. not only investing heavily in our sites, fleet and people, but also optimising how waste is recycled to divert waste away from landfill. We are seeking someone who shares our passion for improving waste management practices.
Responsibilities
As Site Manager you will have overall responsibility for day to day operations. Duties will include:
* Planning and managing waste sorting, recycling and waste output from the site
* Ensuring all operations on site are conducted in compliance with Company Health & Safety Policies and relevant legislation.
* Management of the Lorry/Roro fleet e.g. booking routine PMI’s, defect resolution and maintenance
* Management of the Biomass Plant and drying facility
* People management of Drivers and Site Staff to include recruitment, training, ensuring drivers are working within requirements set by DVSA
* Management of weighbridge transactions
* Managing maintenance of machinery and stock
Qualification and Skills
Experience of the waste management industry is essential along with experience in a similar position. Only holders of a current Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) should apply for this role.
Essential knowledge and experience:
* Materials Recycling Facility operation
* Crushing and screening
* Wood recycling
* Plant and machinery operation and maintenance
* Ferrous/Non Ferrous operation.
Ideal, but not essential:
* CPC Certificate
* Machinery and Plant Operations
* Skip Lorry and hook loader operations
