Site Manager
Location: Leighton Buzzard office, Site based around Welwyn Garden City and surrounding areas, Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week.
As a Site Manager for Novus, you'll see the impact and improvements your role delivers to your customers and team every day, enhancing your job satisfaction. This varied and challenging role offers the opportunity to work with and manage a skilled professional trade team in a secure environment with long-term contracts, providing growth and learning opportunities.
Utilising your Site Management skills in Social Housing and Planned refurbishment works, you'll also seek ways to add social value to communities and customers. Supported by peers, team, and management, you'll solve problems and make decisions to grow relationships and revenue.
While ensuring the smooth operation of multiple sites, typically Kitchen, Bathroom, and Electrical renewal programs, you'll ensure all site personnel perform tasks efficiently and effectively to complete contracts on time, with zero defects, within budget, and with no health & safety risks to the team, client, or public.
What's in it for you?
* Manage site teams, work activities, and resources to meet contract requirements.
* Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including Sub Contractors).
* Collate all preconstruction information (packs, asbestos surveys, etc.).
* Ensure all contract documentation/reports are accurate and timely, in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
* Identify site hazards and ensure risk assessments and control measures are implemented.
* Ensure site compliance with legal and statutory requirements, including health, safety, and welfare.
* Assist in preparing estimates, bids, and tenders with the Contracts Manager.
* Create, manage, and report on projects across multiple live site locations using a master programme.
About You
The successful Site Manager will have strong experience in Planned refurbishment Works within Social Housing/tenanted properties, with good knowledge of internal or external works, managing delivery to completion/handover. Managing multiple sites, with commercial awareness to meet budget requirements, and excellent communication skills to build relationships with clients and tenants. A Full UK driving licence is required for site travel. You must hold SMSTS or an NVQ equivalent, be confident with IT and MS Office, and undergo a DBS check.
