JOB – Quality Manager
LOCATION – Welwyn Garden City
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £45,000 to £65,000 per annum (plus benefits)
My client is a leading engineering and manufacturing business, supplying products into highly regulated industries. They are looking to take on a Quality Manager to oversee and drive continuous improvement of their quality management systems and processes, based at their site in Welwyn Garden City.
The Quality Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
• Previous experience in a Quality Management role within engineering or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of ISO9001
• Experience leading audits, maintaining certifications, and driving compliance
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills (8D, FMEA, CAPA, etc.)
• Ability to manage and mentor a small quality team
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software
The Quality Manager role will involve:
• Leading the quality department and overseeing all quality-related activities
• Maintaining and developing the QMS in line with ISO9001 and customer requirements
• Managing audits (internal, external, and customer)
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Working closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams
• Managing customer complaints, NCRs, and corrective actions
• Reporting quality performance metrics to senior management
