At our Manufacturing facility in Newbury, Berkshire, the Teledyne Reynolds Team designs, builds, and tests custom Interconnect Solutions to carry signals from High Voltage Power Supplies to advanced technologies on Earth and beyond.
Our Engineering and Operations teams have been involved in fulfilling sales orders and working hands-on with products now on Mars, orbiting the Sun, and set to land on an asteroid.
Due to recent high performance, we are expanding our team. With strong prospects in Defence, Commercial, and Space markets, and the global push for renewable energy, our new product development is a key focus.
Candidates can expect a varied role where they can significantly contribute with their Quality expertise to deliver a unique and highly regarded product range.
We seek a candidate to lead all Quality aspects of our site, building on current success and processes, managing a team including QA Engineers and Inspectors, and working with Operations and Management to ensure the best customer experience and that our product remains 'Everywhere You Look'.
What you’ll be involved in:
Leading the review, development, maintenance, and implementation of Quality Management systems, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation, aligned with Teledyne and Customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Operations and senior management to drive product quality, fostering a best-in-class mindset.
* Manage and mentor the Quality team to meet business priorities.
* Develop training to ensure quality standards and processes are followed.
* Engage with customers to address quality issues professionally and promptly.
* Support customer visits and audits, ensuring compliance and timely closure of findings.
* Review and improve quality and NCR processes, developing new procedures and training materials.
* Lead NCR investigations, ensuring lessons learned are integrated into processes.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
* Maintain a Quality Management System compliant with ISO9001 & AS9100 standards.
* Assist with supplier management, including audits and performance monitoring.
* Manage calibration of equipment and tools.
* Conduct FAT or customer inspections to ensure conformance, possibly involving travel.
* Develop and maintain an EHS Management System compliant with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.
What we’re looking for in you:
* Experience in Quality Assurance/Management within manufacturing, preferably with Electronics or Mechanical products.
* Knowledge of defence manufacturing standards is beneficial.
* Understanding of interconnect products is advantageous.
* Audit training in ISO standards is desirable.
* Experience with ISO9001/AS9100/ISO14001/ISO45001 management systems.
* Skills in investigations using 8D, Root Cause Analysis, LEAN, etc.
* Experience with APQP, PFMEA, SPC is a plus.
* Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles.
* Effective communication skills to influence internal teams and customers.
