HR Manager Employee Relations and Engagement
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our Employee Relations and Engagement function. This pivotal role will shape strategies that foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing workplace.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and inspire a dedicated team, delivering high‑quality HR services across the College.
* Drive forward‑thinking strategies on employee relations, wellbeing and engagement, aligned with our values and strategic plan.
* Provide expert guidance on employee relations, ensuring fairness, consistency and compliance.
* Champion initiatives that promote staff engagement, inclusion and wellbeing, creating a culture where everyone feels valued.
* Collaborate with senior leaders and trade unions to build strong, constructive relationships.
* In conjunction with the Director of Human Resources, develop and maintain competitive and clear pay and grading frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and market benchmarks.
Qualifications
* Level 2 maths and English qualifications or the equivalent (e.g., GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above).
* Proven experience in employee relations and engagement at a senior level.
* Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and best practice.
* Excellent leadership, communication and relationship‑building skills.
* A passion for wellbeing and engagement with the ability to turn strategy into action.
