Quality ManagerLocation: AndoverJob Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annumWorking Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm & Friday 8am-3:30pmOverviewA reputable distribution business is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee its Quality Management System and support ongoing compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9120 B. The successful candidate will also provide interim and future leadership in Health & Safety, playing a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management:Manage day-to-day operations of the Quality function.Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO standards.Conduct inspections of incoming goods and ensure supplier quality through audits and assessments.Lead non-conformance investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.Coordinate internal and external audits and manage associated documentation.Oversee documentation control, FAIRs, and calibration records.Health & Safety (Short and Long Term):Support immediate site H&S requirements and take full ownership in future succession planning.Review and update risk assessments and ensure compliance with health & safety legislation.Identify training needs and promote a safe working environment.Leadership and Compliance:Supervise and develop team members, ensuring adherence to QMS and company procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, sales and senior management.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.Person ProfileEssential:Experience in a quality management role within a distribution or similar operational environment.Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and associated quality systems.Excellent leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret technical documentation and work across departments.IT literate with strong communication and analytical abilities.Desirable:Exposure to Health & Safety management and internal audits.Familiarity with AS9120 B, supplier management and quality reporting.Applications are welcome from candidates of all backgrounds.
