Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients and meals according to established recipes and standards.
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed meticulously.
* Help with the cooking process, including grilling, frying, baking, and plating dishes.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment.
* Support the Head Cook in menu planning and meal preparation tasks.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
