Role Overview:
The Business Development team play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by handling a mix of inbound leads and outbound prospecting. The ideal candidate will have a "hunter" mentality, thriving in a fast-paced environment and relentlessly pursuing new business opportunities. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and closing opportunities across Vending Sense's core markets. The BDM will be responsible for managing incoming leads while proactively reaching out to new potential clients, building strong relationships, and driving sales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inbound Lead Management:
* Qualify and respond to inbound leads efficiently, ensuring timely follow-up.
* Convert inbound inquiries into sales by understanding client needs and presenting tailored solutions/
* Outbound Prospecting:
* Actively research and identify new business opportunities within Vending Sense's target sectors.
* Deliver outbound lead generation strategies, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social selling.
* Use a consultative sales approach to engage prospects and build relationships from initial contact through to closing deals.
* Hunter Mentality:
* Adopt a proactive, "hunter" approach to sales, continuously seeking out and pursuing new opportunities.
* Thrive in a target-driven environment, consistently working to exceed revenue and sales goals.
* Collaboration with Internal Teams:
* Work closely with marketing to deliver on campaigns.
* Provide feedback on lead quality and collaborate with marketing to enhance inbound and outbound lead strategies.
* Partner with marketing to create targeted outreach campaigns and support promotional activities.
* Sales & Revenue:
* Own and exceed individual sales targets, contributing to overall company revenue growth.
* Ensure a balanced focus on closing both inbound and outbound leads.
* Regularly report on sales activity, performance metrics, and pipeline progress to management.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in business development or sales roles, with a track record of success in B2B environments.
* Demonstrated ability to manage both inbound and outbound leads, with a strong hunter mentality.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently to achieve targets.
* Strong negotiation skills and experience closing high-value deals.
* Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and sales tools.
* Ability to travel to meet clients and attend events as needed.
