Overview
Senior Country Park Ranger and Site Manager role at Thurrock Council. This is a permanent full-time position (37 hours per week) in the Country Parks Team, responsible for operational supervision of the Ranger Team and leading the management of the spaces the team is responsible for.
Salary: £44,208 - £50,424 per annum. Grade: F.
Responsibilities
* Provide operational supervision of the Ranger Team
* Lead the management of country park spaces, habitats, health & safety, and environmental management
* Manage external funding processes and Environmental Stewardship schemes
* Engage with the public and work with volunteers
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, and the use of tools, plant and machinery
* Maintain role-specific responsibilities including driving duties; a valid full Driving Licence is essential
Qualifications and Skills
* Demonstrable practical experience in managing public country parks and diverse habitats
* Knowledge of External Funding and Environmental Stewardship schemes
* Public engagement experience and working with volunteers
* A valid full Driving Licence
