Our client, a well-regarded secondary school in Rugby, is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to lead their catering provision and oversee the day-to-day running of the school kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated catering professional to manage a busy service while ensuring high standards of food quality, nutrition and compliance.

Lead, manage and motivate the catering team to ensure an efficient and positive working environment
Plan and develop balanced, nutritious menus that meet school food standards and cater for dietary requirements
Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation, service, cleaning and maintenance
Manage catering budgets, stock ordering and waste to ensure value for money
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety in line with regulations such as HACCP and COSHH
Carry out risk assessments and maintain appropriate compliance records
Work collaboratively with staff and students to gather feedback and continuously improve the catering service
The minimum requirements for the Catering Manager role:
Previous experience in a catering management or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and food safety regulations
Experience managing catering operations in a busy environment
Ability to manage budgets, stock and food ordering effectively
Strong leadership and communication skills
The ideal candidate for the Catering Manager role:
Experience working within a school or education catering environment
Relevant food hygiene qualification (such as Level 3 Food Hygiene)
Creative approach to menu planning and food presentation
Highly organised with the ability to work effectively under pressure
Positive attitude with a strong focus on delivering excellent service
