We are looking for a dedicated and communicative Food Technologist to join our Technical team, where you will be instrumental in supporting the day to day functions of the team.
Job Summary:
* To provide day to day support to the Technical Managers.
* To monitor the critical path management process and ensure all deadlines are on target and achieved with the relevant parties involved.
* Support in preparation for SCAMR’s (Spec check and market reviews), Consistency Panels and other customer sampling session, through the collection of samples and completion of paperwork.
* Communicating extensively with suppliers and customers on relevant technical information.
* Collating and/or review of technical information as and when required for retailers or sites (nutritional data, allergens, site details, specification compliance and audit conformance).
* Gathering and assisting in KPI reporting to relevant retailers.
* Attending customer visits, first productions and supplying sites as and when required.
* To conduct site audits and produce accurate factory audit reports.
* Assist the relevant Technical Manger with closing out of non-conformances raised within audits.
* Completion of specification writing and spec management within the department.
* Reviewing and examination of sample submissions forms with NPD.
* Trending of nutritional analysis and reporting.
* Providing support to the LDH benchmarking plan with NPD.
* Packaging and sending samples on behalf of the Technical Manager to customers and or
Suppliers.
* Supporting and investigating complaints when required.
Key Accountabilities:
* To maintain a good relationship with both customers and suppliers by efficient ways of communication.
* Confident with being able to communicate with other technical staff and traders to underpin the customer and supplier relationship
* Ensuring projects are run to the critical path and implementing the critical path deadlines within the business.
* To meet the requirements set by the customer for: factories; safety; legal and good quality standards.
* To support the Technical managers as and when required.
