1. £12.21 per hour
2. 37 hours per week
3. Monday to Friday (8.30am – 4.30pm / 9.00am - 5.00pm)
4. Sat & Sun (8.30 – 4.30 pm, once every 5 weeks)
5. Location: Mater Hospital, Belfast
6. Public sector
7. Temporary role (Up to December 31st 2025)
What you'll be doing in this role:
8. Using Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archive Systems (PACS) within Imaging in Belfast Trust, register referrals in line with Integrated Elective Access Policy(IEAP) and department protocols.
9. Liaise with client, staff and departments internal and external to the Trust to ensure full and efficient service.
10. Participate in general office duties in accordance with local Policies & Procedures, i.e. filing, photocopying and data entry or typing if applicable.
11. Provide admin cover at Imaging reception desks behaving in accordance with Trust Values
12. Make and receive telephone calls and take appropriate action.
13. Open, distribute and re-direct mail as appropriate.
14. In line with Trust policy participate in Trust staff reviews and ensure personal Mandatory training up to date.
15. Be willing to participate in shift working including long days, weekends, bank holidays across all sites within the Belfast Trust.
16. Maintain standards of confidentiality regarding all information held in respect of service users and staff.
17. Provide cover for staff during periods of sick/annual leave.
18. To deal with day-to-day queries as appropriate.
19. To assist in training of other staff, as necessary
What you'll need for this role:
20. 4 GCSE’s at grade C or above to include English Language or equivalent qualification.
21. OR NVQ Level II in Administration.
22. OR A minimum of one year’s administrative clerical experience
23. AND the flexibility to work in a changing environment. Availability to work an extended working day and to work over the weekend period where required
24. Effective Communications skills to meet the needs of the post in full.
25. Ability to work well with others as part of a multidisciplinary team
26. As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
