Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your culinary experience will contribute to creating delightful dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
* Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
* Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Qualifications
* Previous kitchen or culinary experience is essential, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques.
* Experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, showcasing your ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is required.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
