Learning Mentors Needed Across Streatham

Are you calm under pressure, emotionally intelligent, and motivated by progress that isn’t always measured in test scores?
Friendly and inclusive primary schools in Streatham are looking for Learning Mentors to support pupils who need extra guidance with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
This is a relationship-led role, ideal for candidates from mentoring, youth work, psychology, sports coaching or pastoral backgrounds — school experience is helpful, but not essential.
The Role
As a Learning Mentor, you’ll support pupils who may struggle with:
* Behaviour and emotional regulation
* Focus, motivation and confidence in class
* Social skills and peer relationships
* Transitions, routines and unstructured times
You’ll work closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral leads to provide consistent, supportive intervention, helping pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
Who We’re Hoping to Hear From
This role would suit people with experience in:
* Learning Mentoring or Behaviour Support
* Youth Work, Play Work or Community Projects
* Psychology, Criminology or Education degrees
* Sports Coaching, Martial Arts or Team Coaching
* SEMH, SEN or mental health support roles
Formal TA qualifications are not essential — mindset, consistency and empathy matter most.
