️ FREELANCE SITE MANAGER – CONSTRUCTION (CARE HOME REFURBISHMENTS) Location: York Contract Type: Freelance We're currently recruiting on behalf of a respected main contractor specialising in care home refurbishments. They’re now seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee projects in the York area. This role is ideal for someone confident running live sites with operational care homes, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining strict health & safety standards and delivering high-quality finishes. Responsibilities: * Oversee day-to-day site operations on care home refurbishment projects * Coordinate trades, subcontractors, and deliveries * Ensure health & safety compliance is adhered to at all times * Maintain project schedule and report progress to the Contracts Manager * Liaise with clients, site staff, and care home management to ensure smooth running of works * Carry out site inductions and toolbox talks * Maintain daily site diaries and quality records ✅ Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, ideally in live environments * Strong organisational and communication skills * Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White card preferred), and First Aid at Work * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) – essential due to working in care environments This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Approach Personnel Ltd that is operating as an employment business.
