The role
We’re recruiting a Quality Manager to join a well-established UK manufacturing organisation during an exciting phase of expansion. Based on-site, this role will take ownership of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems, drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives, and lead ESG and Net Zero projects across multiple UK sites.
This is a senior, influential role working closely with operations, R&D, and commercial teams to ensure compliance, improve processes, and embed a strong quality culture across the business.
Key responsibilities
* Own and develop the integrated Quality and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and accreditations
* Act as the management representative with regulatory and statutory bodies
* Lead internal and external audits, maintaining full compliance with company and regulatory standards
* Drive environmental compliance, sustainability strategy, and ESG initiatives across the organisation
* Oversee product quality, inspection, testing, and evaluation processes, supporting an Industry 4.0 culture
* Lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives, embedding cultural change across the site
* Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through to production
What we’re looking for
* 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Manager / Quality & Environmental Manager role within manufacturing
* Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering, Quality, Environmental Studies, or similar
* Strong experience with ISO-based management systems (ISO 9001 essential)
* Proven background leading audits, continuous improvement, and Lean initiatives
* Experience delivering environmental, sustainability, or ESG projects
