Job Description
The Reward Manager UK plays a central role in creating a clear and effective reward framework for the organisation. The position combines forward planning, strong governance and detailed analytical work to ensure reward practices remain modern, efficient and aligned with business needs. The role reports to the UK HR Director and includes line management of a Pensions and Benefits Adviser. This is an opportunity to strengthen and simplify the reward environment while supporting decision making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the annual compensation review cycle for the UK, including preparation, planning and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery.
* Overseeing and optimising pensions governance.
* Optimising job evaluation and grading frameworks to ensure fair and competitive pay structures.
* Developing market compensation benchmarking and providing insight.
* Delivering statutory reporting (e.g., gender pay gap) and ensuring strong reward governance.
* Optimising benefits to deliver key business outcomes.
* Providing reward consultancy and hands‑on support to key business projects with a significant reward component.
* Providing analytics, modelling and insight to support leadership decision‑making.
* Providing guidance and training to HR colleagues, business leaders and compensation managers on reward processes and policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience modernising and simplifying reward practices within a large, complex organisation.
* Advanced Excel and data modelling experience, with strong analytical capability.
* Deep understanding of job evaluation (WTW in particular) and grading structures within a reward and HR ecosystem.
* Experience assuring pensions governance.
* Experience delivering reward solutions in a variable pay environment.
* Reward consultancy and project‑management skills – a significant advantage.
* Strong understanding of technology that supports reward efficiency and effectiveness.
* Organisation, influencing and resilience skills necessary to navigate a fast‑paced agenda.

Base location: Wallingford or Aberdeen. Flexibility to travel across the UK and potentially on occasions to continental Europe.
