Position: Unit Catering Manager
Hours: 27.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only
Location: Tiverton Primary School, Coventry
Salary: £16,375.74 (term time only)
You will need to be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual capable of undertaking general kitchen duties. You must be approachable, understanding the diverse needs of customers, and flexible, adaptable, and open to change. Ability to respond to individual customer needs using appropriate communication methods is essential.
Qualifications required include an NVQ Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles and Level 2 Food Safety.
Your responsibilities will include setting and maintaining high standards of food presentation and service, ensuring all food served is at the correct temperature, garnished appropriately, and served in a professional manner. You will serve meals and assist customers in choosing dishes.
Other duties include ordering, preparing, and cooking food following the centralised menu plan for breakfasts, lunches, buffets, and promotions, ensuring compliance with the Government’s Nutritional/Food-Based Standards.
You will compile and submit all necessary statistical documentation, such as trading sheets, payroll adjustment sheets, and stock control sheets, to the central administration office.
Preparation or delegation of the preparation of the dining area for all catering requirements, including functions, is also part of your role.
