HR Administrator – Vetting (Contract Role)

We’re working with a leading mobile telecommunications provider as they roll out an exciting new internal standards project. As part of this, they’re looking for an HR Administrator – Vetting to join the team on a contract basis until the end of the year.
This is a focused HR role, supporting vetting and compliance processes rather than the broader HR remit. You'll play a key role in ensuring robust and consistent checks are carried out across the workforce as part of this high-priority internal programme.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting the end-to-end vetting process for new hires and contractors.
Handling potentially sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy.
Building relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and compliance.
Maintaining accurate data across internal systems (Excel, SharePoint, Oracle/SAGE or similar).
About You:
You’ll have a strong background in vetting, compliance, or recruitment administration – particularly where you’ve handled pre-employment checks. Ideal candidates may come from:
Recruitment agencies, where you’ve vetted candidates before onboarding
Financial services/FCA-regulated environments with compliance experience
Collections or similar roles dealing with confidential/sensitive information
You’re confident navigating sensitive topics and building trust quickly. You’re tech-savvy, with strong Excel skills (including pivot tables) and experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools.
