The Plant & Labour Administrator is a newly created position supporting Blackwell Earthmoving’s Lower Thames Crossing project team. This role provides essential day-to-day administrative support, helping managers and the wider team with office coordination, personnel management, and project administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the Company’s mission and upholding our values of being Responsible, Respectful, Relentless, and Resilient .
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Office Support
* Manage correspondence including emails, memos, and routine reports.
* Maintain organised filing systems on SharePoint and other platforms.
* Coordinate travel arrangements and general office logistics.
* Create and format documents as required.
* Greet visitors and offer general administrative support to the team.
* Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
* Handle queries from senior managers and complete data entry tasks.
* Ensure accurate storage of key documentation and support colleagues when needed.
Personnel & Compliance Coordination
* Manage site personnel vetting processes.
* Review candidates, arrange interviews, record competencies, and assess compliance with BEL standards.
* Issue contracts of employment and new starter documentation.
* Liaise with agencies to ensure labour provision meets site requirements.
* Arrange PPE and medicals for new applicants.
* Coordinate induction programmes for new starters.
* Maintain records in accordance with company standards.
* Assist in preparing regularly scheduled reports.
* Liaise with site teams and management to address queries or issues.
* Provide support to other team members as required.
* Undertake other tasks as requested by the line manager.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven administrative experience, either in an office or virtual support role.
* Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Excellent time‑management with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* High attention to detail and confident problem‑solving ability.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Enthusiastic team player with a positive approach.
* Efficient and organised, able to work proactively.
