Summary
***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY***
We’re looking for a Site Manager to join us at Sandilands to take care of the daily operations here.
You'll be required to work regular weekends.
What it's like to work here
It's an exciting time to join the team, as the project to create a nature reserve and a place where everyone can enjoy being out in nature is nearing completion. Sandilands, over on the Lincolnshire Coast, will create a haven for wildlife and provides a vital stop-over point for migrating birds on the East Coast Flyway. You'll have the opportunity to help shape the day-to-day operations with the reserve, working closely with a small team to deliver a great visitor experience and helping everyone to access nature safely.
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for planning and running the on-site operations here. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and the Visitor Operations Manager to help drive the offer forwards. You’ll be line managing a Welcome and Service Assistant, ensuring everyone feels welcome on site.
You’ll be responsible for managing contractors, as their main contact on site, and for compliance, organising access and making sure our work systems are always safe.
Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from you if you’re:
1. experienced in the practical aspects of managing a house and garden site
2. proactive and focused on solutions, mindful of the operational needs of a site
3. highly organised and skilled at planning, with a good eye for detail
4. adept at working to multiple deadlines and managing your own workload
5. a skilled communicator who can forge strong relationships, both externally and internally
6. a problem-solver, able to work on your own initiative
