The role: Media Monitoring & Reporting: Compile daily media reports for senior management, using judgement to highlight relevant coverage, and maintain regular media evaluation logs and reports. Media Relations: Respond to media enquiries, draft press releases, briefing documents, and support key messaging. Event Planning & Support: Assist in organising and delivering events, managing logistics such as venues, invitations, materials, hospitality, and travel. Content Creation: Develop, write, and edit a variety of communications materials including press releases, blogs, and social media posts. Social Media Management: Create engaging, branded content for social channels using tools like Canva, tailored to different platforms and audiences. Website Management: Maintain and update website content, ensuring it is accurate and aligned with communication goals. Stakeholder Engagement & Admin Support: Build positive relationships with stakeholders and support departmental administration, including procurement processes. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential A third level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., media, journalism, PR, communications, marketing) or extensive experience in the below areas: Strong experience in drafting and publishing communications across press, web, and social media, using CMS tools. Confident in managing media relations and organising events and public engagements. Proficient in administrative support, including MS Office, correspondence, and record management.
