Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in maintenance and repair tasks in the care/nursing home. This role requires an individual who can work independently and efficiently, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard. The Handy Man will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and aesthetics of our facilities while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
* Perform general maintenance and repair tasks within the nursing/care facility, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Interpret and work from schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Operate programmable logic controllers for automated systems.
* Have experience and exposure of nursing home daily, weekly and monthly checks.
* Be able to carryout paint and decoration of the care home.
* Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff or apprentices during projects.
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
* Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
Experience
* Proven experience in maintenance roles with mechanical/technical knowledge base.
* Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques is essential.
* Previous handyman experience in is advantageous, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
* Experience working with programmable logic controllers is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £12.43-£14.00 per hour
