Job Summary

Due to growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Manager to oversee operations at our major office interior fit-out projects from October.

The opportunity is based in Guernsey in the Channel Islands. Local and UK based applicants are welcome.

The ideal candidate will possess strong management capabilities and supervising experience, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Site Manager will be responsible for coordinating all site activities, managing resources, and liaising with stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.

Duties

* Oversee daily site operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
* Supervise site personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
* Manage project schedules to ensure expectations and milestones are met.
* Provide regular updates on project status, including updates on timelines, budgets, and the prompt escalation of potential issues.
* Provide daily logs and photos and weekly progress reports.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality of work and adherence to specifications, and to ensure high standards of workmanship across all trades.
* Foster a positive working environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among all site staff.
* Be present, visible and proactive on site; and, maintaining a professional approach and attitude at all times.

Requirements

* Proven experience in a site management role within the construction industry.
* Strong supervising experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
* Proficiency in project management & planning and working with detailed design & technical drawings
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.

Qualifications / Certifications

At minimum:

* Managerial CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) accreditation or equivalent.

Compliance / Working in Guernsey

* Must be eligible to work on Guernsey projects; we'll support any permit/admin required for the engagement.

Travel & Accommodation

For UK candidates:

* Travel: We cover one return trip to/from Guernsey at project start and end
* Ongoing travel & accommodation is to be arranged by the applicant. We can recommend local options)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £280.00-£350.00 per day
