Senior Data Architect

London office - hybrid (1 day per week)
We've partnered with a leading organisation who is seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and deliver scalable, reliable data solutions aligned to business needs. This role will focus on building and evolving a modern data platform across ingestion, transformation, storage, and orchestration layers.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement data ingestion frameworks and ETL/ELT pipelines (batch and real-time)
* Develop and optimise lakehouse and data warehouse architectures
* Work closely with engineering and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
* Establish data quality, observability, and schema management frameworks
* Drive performance, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency
* Ensure alignment with data governance, security, and compliance standards
Experience & Skills
* Strong background in enterprise data architecture and solution design
* Experience delivering production-grade data platforms in Azure (Data Factory, Fabric, Spark)
* Knowledge of Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
* Advanced SQL and Python
* Experience with data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) and semantic layers
* Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks
* Understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code)
