Business Development Executive – Plant Hire

We are actively looking for an experienced an experienced sales professional with a background in the Plant Hire / Access Hire / Construction sectors. Our client is a London based plant hire company with 3 depots who are looking to expand their services within London and the home counties. The successful candidate would be expected to take ownership of key regional accounts and generate new business opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone confident in Plant Hire sales and passionate about driving revenue across a well-established client base.
Role:
Reporting directly to the Group Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing strong relationships with existing key accounts to maximise revenue opportunities
* Generating new business by identifying and pursuing fresh sales leads
* Delivering impactful sales presentations to senior decision-makers
* Collaborating with internal teams to support wider sales efforts
* Promoting products and services at customer events, trade days, and industry exhibitions
Requirements
Candidate:
* Proven track record in either Plant Hire or Construction Sales
* Strong ability to exceed targets and drive revenue growth
* Confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels
* Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to business development
* Solid administrative and reporting skills – confident with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
* Full UK driving licence – essential

Requirements
Proven experience in a field sales or area sales role within the construction, plant, or hire sectors. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs. Excellent relationship management and communication skills. Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to manage time and workload effectively. Full UK driving licence is essential.
