We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take the lead on an upcoming project in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor on a design & build scheme.
The initial phase will involve the refurbishment of an industrial building, followed by a new build phase.
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to manage both refurbishment and new build elements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing and coordinating subcontractors and the wider supply chain
2. Ensuring health & safety compliance across site
3. Maintaining excellent communication with the client, as the project is based on an active client premises
4. Delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer satisfaction
Requirements
5. Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment and new build projects
6. Strong technical and construction knowledge, particularly within design & build contracts
7. Excellent organisational and leadership skills
8. Ability to manage client relationships effectively in a live environment
9. Strong focus on quality, safety, and programme delivery
Project Start
The project is expected to commence around June, however there is flexibility to bring the right candidate on board earlier to assist with pre-construction and mobilisation.
Package
10. Salary: Circa £52,000
11. Car Allowance: £7,000
12. Pension: 5%
