Human Resources Administrator – APEM Ltd

Are you an experienced HR Administrator who thrives on keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Do you take pride in your attention to detail and love working as part of a supportive, people-focused team? Are you looking for a role that you settle into and where your organisational skills will make a difference to our scientists and ecologists?

We’re looking for an HR Administration Assistant to join our friendly and fast-paced people team based in Manchester (max 1 day a week in the office). This 5-day-a-week role is ideal for someone with solid HR administrative experience who enjoys providing dependable, high-quality support and being part of a team that values precision, collaboration, and integrity.

As part of APEM’s growing People function, you’ll help keep our HR processes running efficiently. From onboarding and maintaining accurate employee records to supporting benefits administration and responding to employee queries, you’ll use HR systems to manage data with care and accuracy, helping ensure our people experience is consistent, compliant, and efficient.

Whilst your CV will be fully reviewed as part of your application, we also require you to complete the “Covering Letter” section. Attention to detail is essential for this role, and applications submitted without a covering letter will not be considered. In this section, please highlight why you are suitable against at least three of the following criteria below.


Qualifications

* Previous HR administration experience in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* A professional, discreet approach and the ability to manage confidential information
* Clear and friendly communication skills, both written and verbal


Bonus Qualifications

* Confidence using HR systems (e.g. Access, Workday, Hi Bob, Employment Hero, or similar)
* Experience providing first-line HR advice
* Familiarity with HR compliance and record-keeping best practice
