Tamar HR is a well established (since 2005) outsourced HR business working across Devon and Cornwall, based in Plymouth.
Generally a People and Talent role will involve working in one sector. In a corporate setting your individual influence may be limited. In this role each working day will involve working across different sectors, as well as with a mix of types and sizes of business. You will have access to the main decision makers and can make a genuine difference to business growth and the lives of others.
As a small team we work closely together, with plenty of opportunities to develop skills and to evolve Tamar HR and what we offer.
Main Responsibilities
The main areas that you will be helping customers with are:
· Complex individual issues;
· Contractual and business changes;
· Developing talent pipelines; and
· Coaching and training managers and leaders.
Skills & Abilities
We are looking for a professional who can bring a genuine passion and enthusiasm for this field of work. Someone who has sound knowledge of UK Employment Law and a good understanding of its application day to day. You will have enough experience to navigate involved situations and conflicting viewpoints.
Given that this is an environment where priorities can change rapidly and there is a need to adapt to different personalities and styles, we are looking for someone for whom prioritisation and flexibility come naturally. This is a deeply rewarding role for someone who has the necessary resilience and positivity. It will suit well those who have an inbuilt curiosity about how people and businesses work well and optimally.
Teamwork is fundamental to the way we operate and learn from each other’s experience, so working from our Plymouth office is integral to this role.
