Retail Catering Manager Location: Llandough, Vale of Glamorgan Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Contract: Temporary for 3-6 months with the possible opportunity of it leading to a permanent position Pay: £16.65 per hour The Role We are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, for an experienced Retail Catering Manager to support the Commercial Services Management Team in delivering high quality restaurant and retail catering services within a busy healthcare environment. This is a hands on operational role, responsible for the day to day management of retail catering outlets, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely and in line with agreed quality standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of retail catering and restaurant services Manage, support and develop supervisory and frontline catering staff Plan and coordinate service delivery, including menus and dietary requirements Monitor performance and produce KPI reports Ensure full compliance with food safety, health and safety and legislative requirements Manage budgets, control costs and support income generation Handle service issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner Promote healthier eating initiatives in line with Public Health guidance Support recruitment, training and performance management processes Maintain accurate workforce records including rotas, absence and payroll information Contribute to service improvement activity, audits and quality initiatives Liaise with internal departments, customers and suppliers to ensure effective service delivery Provide operational cover and support across wider services when required About You Previous experience in a retail catering, hospitality or catering management role Strong leadership and team management skills Valid Food Safety - Level 3 Certificate Confident managing budgets and operational data Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload What's on Offer Weekly pay (PAYE) Auto enrolment into NEST pension Experience of working within a public sector organisation Potential for a permanent opportunity If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply today with an up to date CV.
