Join Our Team at Little Green Rascals as a Nursery Cook! Fixed Term Contract - Six Months An experienced Cook to work based at our Flaxton Nursery to cover holiday and staff sickness. Strong knowledge of food hygiene allergens is essential for this role. Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Pay: £13.65 per Hour *plus accrued holiday pay Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday from 8am - 5pm Location: Little Green Rascals Flaxton, Draft Farm, Flaxton, North Yorkshire, YO60 7QP What Your Role Involves As a Nursery Cook in our nursery, you will be working providing delicious, nutritious food for 100 children. As well as supporting with preparing the menu, you will also be responsible for planning and ordering the food within the budget. Our Cooks also support with activities such as baking with the children, so a warm and friendly way of working is required. You will also ensure the kitchen environment is kept clean and safe. About our Nursery Based in a charming farmhouse, our nursery is the perfect setting for our outdoor-focused learning-environment centred around the importance of playing in nature, and we make full use of that each day. At Little Green Rascals Flaxton we provide care for up to 60 children, each one benefiting from our unique approach that encourages exploration, curiosity, and a love for the great outdoors. We have 3 rooms, Wiggly Worms (babies), Cheeky Hens (toddlers) and Little Green Rascals (preschool). We are also incredibly lucky at Flaxton to have access to an amazing Forest School, run by our Forest School Lead. Although we’re tucked away in Flaxton, finding us is easy, as we’re close to the A64 between York and Malton with onsite parking for staff. Ready to make a difference?
