Azure Data Architect (Contract)
Stratford-upon-Avon (Hybrid) 6-month contract | Inside IR35
We're looking for an experienced Data Architect with extensive Azure experience to join our client on a 6-month engagement. This role is ideal for someone who brings a strong Data Engineering foundation and is confident designing modern, scalable data architectures in a cloud-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of end-to-end data architectures within a fully Azure-based ecosystem.
* Shape data strategies, architectural roadmaps, and best practices across integration, transformation, modelling, and visualisation layers.
* Partner closely with engineering and BI teams to ensure seamless delivery of Azure-based solutions.
* Apply modern architectural patterns including Event-Driven, SOA, and Microservices in solution design.
* Provide guidance and governance across data modelling, MDM, and ETL processes.
Required Experience
* Proven Data Architect with a strong background in Data Engineering.
* Extensive Azure experience, including expertise with:
o Azure Synapse
o Azure Data Factory (ADF)
o Power BI
o Microsoft Fabric(All four are essential)
* Broad architectural pattern knowledge: Event-Driven, SOA, Microservices.
Desirable Skills
* Exposure to BODS, Cognos, or industry-standard data modelling tools.
* Experience with MDM (Master Data Management).
* Strong understanding of ETL and data integration frameworks.
