About the role
Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.
We are looking to recruit a Cook in Charge to join our Catering team at Llwyn yr Eos Primary School, Penparcau, Aberystwyth on a permanent basis.
You will be expected to manage the school kitchen on a day-to day basis according to the standards laid down by Ceredigion County Council.
The role includes:
1. preparation and service of school dinners for pupils at the school
2. preparation of special diets for pupils as required
3. ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
4. ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling
5. general Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment and premises
We are looking to recruit an individual with:
6. experience/knowledge of working within a catering environment
7. adaptability
