About the role
We are looking for an experienced EMEA Reward Manager to join DS Smith’s Reward team. The role will involve managing the operational reward management activities for the top most senior roles within the EMEA business. You will use your expertise to educate and advise the HR team on applying and embedding Reward principles, frameworks and governance in reward decisions across EMEA. You will partner with the business to promote the fair and consistent application of the Reward principles, processes, frameworks and governance and ensure they are fully embedded across the Reward Network and local HR teams
This role will be supported by the EMEA Head of Reward and will oversee and work closely with the EMEA Reward Analyst.
Key responsibilities:
1. Managing the end-to-end process for annual salary review for the most senior roles across EMEA, annual bonus payment and invitation and LTIP grant files
2. Supporting the annual bonus plan and LTIP communication templates and the communication approach taking into account local legal requirements
3. Ensuring rigor, fairness and consistency with the Reward principles and frameworks in any compensation review decisions and escalating where necessary, ensuring all governance frameworks are followed
4. Ensuring a high level of rigor in the data and information processing
5. Working with HR Directors to understand and implement any country specific requirements
6. Supervising or conducting the job evaluation and benchmark
7. Developing a reward recommendation and overseeing the governance and implementation process
8. Liaising with the International Mobility team where required
9. Partner with the HR teams / business to promote the fair and consistent application of our Reward principles, processes, frameworks and governance
10. Actively participate in our internal Reward Network, with a particular focus on sharing updates and insights from an operational reward management perspective
11. Support the communication and implementation of any new Group Reward principles, processes, frameworks and governance
12. Manage key projects relating to ensuring reward related compliance across the organisation e.g. statutory reporting requirements and co-ordination of ensuring compliance with any key EMEA divisional local requirements, including conducting audits as necessary (CEO pay ratio, UK Gender pay gap reporting)
13. Support on the Job mapping project and total compensation gap analysis between legacy DSS and legacy IP
14. Actively participate and provide guidance in the HRIS project to enable core compensation data to be recorded and maintained throughout EMEA
About you
15. Experienced HR professional with solid Reward experience, either in a Senior Analyst role with international exposure or as a Reward Manager.
16. In depth reward and HR experience with a good knowledge of operational reward processes
17. Experienced in job evaluation and benchmarking methodologies
18. Experienced in project management for year-end reward processes
19. Experienced in managing operational aspects of reward including annual pay review, short term incentives, long term incentives and defining reward packages
20. Comfortable influencing and communicating with Senior Management
21. Adaptable / flexible and comfortable with dealing with high levels of ambiguity
22. Ability to explain reward concepts in a simple and accessible way
23. High level of numeracy and analytical skill
24. Advanced level Microsoft Excel
25. Comfortable working within a fast-paced and complex (matrix or international) organisation
26. University degree or equivalent
