Site Manager – Social Housing Roofing Projects - Progression to Contracts Manager
📍 Location: Basildon
💰 Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Company Car / Car Allowance + Full Package
We are currently partnering with a well-established main contractor that specialises in responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and refurbishment works for local authorities and housing associations.
With offices across the UK, the company employs over 700 skilled operatives and specialists, delivering a national solution while maintaining a strong local focus.
Over the past 20 years, the company has grown significantly, completing works on more than 5,000 tenanted properties and generating over £80 million in annual turnover.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an ambitious Site Manager to join their Basildon team, overseeing pitched and flat roofing refurbishment projects and associated external works across social housing portfolios.
This opportunity is ideal for a motivated Site Manager looking to progress their career, as the client is keen to invest in training and development with the long-term goal of supporting the successful candidate into a Contracts Manager position.
The Role
The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of roofing refurbishment works across social housing properties, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Projects will primarily involve pitched and flat roof replacements, repairs, and refurbishment works, alongside associated external works such as fascias, soffits, guttering, insulation upgrades, and general roofing-related improvements.
While the ideal candidate will come from a main contractor background, candidates with strong experience working for roofing subcontractors or within social housing refurbishment environments will also be considered.
