We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our client based in Dunstable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a variety of practical skills to perform maintenance and repair tasks across different facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Handy Man will be responsible for ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
They are also looking for someone who will be happy to do cleaning which involves cleaning toilets/canteen etc.
Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 16:30
Pay rate £12.21ph
Responsibilities
* Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
* Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention.
* Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot problems effectively.
* Weld components as required for various tasks.
* Maintain an organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role with strong mechanical knowledge.
* Proficient in electrical systems maintenance and repair.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to tasks.
* Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
