Overview
HC-One are looking for a Cook with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a great understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). You should bring a brilliant, positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people. You will be organised, able to meet deadlines, present food attractively, and follow recipes precisely. You will communicate with Residents and co-workers with kindness and consideration. You will value kindness above all, contributing to HC-One’s Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist Care homes. You will cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals, provide support to the First Chef in their absence, and manage kitchen tasks with resident wellbeing in mind. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, escalating if necessary.

Responsibilities
* Cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will love.
* Provide outstanding support to the First Chef and take charge in their absence.
* Manage food stock, plan budgets, and coach a colleague.
* Supervise kitchen clean-up and maintain kitchen hygiene and safety.
* Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld in daily operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.
* Good understanding of HACCP principles.
* Strong organisation, ability to meet deadlines, and follow recipes precisely.
* Kind, considerate communication with Residents and colleagues.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to digital care planning and technology where applicable.
