Job Title: HR Manager Location: Bromsgrove Salary: £42,000 - £44,000 depending on experience Job Type : Permanent, Full Time Working Hours: Monday – Friday (35 Hours per week) I am currently recruiting for a HR Manager to join a well established SME based in Bromsgrove, to join their professional and friendly team. The role is based on-site 5 days a week, with no remote working offered. You must be able to drive due to location. Duties Will Include: * Support recruitment activities, including issuing offer letters and assisting with employee inductions. * Regularly review and update Contracts of Employment to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company needs. * Maintain and update the Company Handbook in line with legal and organisational requirements. * Accurately maintain HR records, ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times. * Manage the annual appraisal process, ensuring records are maintained and follow-up actions are completed; support the development of a company-wide training plan. * Advise on employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary matters. * Monitor employee absences, manage long-term sickness cases, and oversee probationary period reviews. * Explore, implement, and manage an Apprenticeship Program in alignment with company objectives. * Provide HR support and guidance regarding the use of third-party labour. * Assist with benefits administration, including private medical insurance, company vehicles, and employee voucher schemes. * Contribute to the planning and reporting of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives that support local communities. Skills and Experience needed: * CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification is an advantage. * 3–5 years of HR Managerial experience. * Experienced in managing employee relations, recruitment, and HR compliance. * Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels. * Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
