Job Description Employment Lawyer - 5 years PQE Salary: £75,000–£90,000 Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid) The Opportunity Ready to lead employment law practice at a firm that genuinely invests in your career? Our client is an industry recognised regional law firm seeking an ambitious Employment Lawyer to join their growing Company and Commercial team. About the Role You'll develop a mixed caseload of transactional, non-contentious and contentious employment work, working alongside colleagues across multiple office locations. Your responsibilities will include: Strategic & Advisory Work Providing comprehensive HR advice and support to employer clients Drafting service agreements, contracts of employment, staff handbooks and policies Advising on employee terminations, redundancies, restructuring and settlement agreements Managing disciplinary procedures and internal investigations Advising on TUPE matters and boardroom disputes Contentious & Transactional Representing clients in employment tribunal and court proceedings (unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination claims) Supporting corporate transactions with employment due diligence and TUPE advice Delivering training, seminars and legal updates Business Development Demonstrating strong business development and marketing skills Contributing to the firm's social media and thought leadership initiatives Building and growing client relationships About You You'll be a qualified Solicitor, CILEX or FILEX member with: Essential Experience & Skills 5 years' post-qualification experience in employment law Strong technical knowledge of employment law with proven ability to deliver profitable work Excellent client care skills and commitment to service excellence Proven track record of developing and growing client relationships Experience acting for employers on a wide range of matters Your Approach Dedicated to providing excellent client service Team player with a 'can-do' attitude who goes the extra mile Strong judgement, maturity and risk awareness Positive attitude and genuine interest in promoting the firm's reputation Pride in your work and commitment to excellence What You'll Receive Compensation & Financial Benefits Salary: £75,000–£90,000 (depending on experience) Firm-wide and fee-earner bonus schemes Automatic enrolment to contributory corporate pension scheme (salary sacrifice) Access to a financial wellbeing platform Work-Life Balance & Flexibility Hybrid working arrangements 25 days' holiday per year, rising by one day per year of service (maximum 30 days) Monthly one-to-ones and six-monthly appraisals Supportive, nurturing working environment Health & Wellbeing Automatic enrolment to Employee Assistance Programme Healthcare Cash Plan (after probation) covering dependants Designated Social and Wellbeing champions in each office Wellness initiatives including social walks, book clubs and charitable activities Annual staff events (summer, Christmas, quarterly office lunches, staff quiz) Career Development Structured career path with clear progression opportunities Supported and mentored professional development Opportunities to lead and grow the employment law offering Access to training and continued learning About Our Client Our client is a respected regional law firm with five offices across Hertfordshire, Essex and London.
