Learning Mentor
Part Time, permanent 29 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Grade 7, £17,999 (£26,832 FTE per annum)
An exciting and rewarding opportunity to become a Learning Mentor at Christ Church St Peter’s CofE Primary School.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro‑active Learning Mentor to work within a team of specialists who are passionate about improving the outcomes for children with social, emotional and mental health needs and other barriers to learning‑supporting them to remove barriers to learning. The post holder will provide support in teaching and learning for small groups or individual pupils as well as being a nurturing and consistent key adult.
A successful candidate will:
* Bring excellent behaviour management skills
* Be ELSA trained or wish to work towards this
* Have an area of special interest i.e ASD, ADHD, SEMH etc.
* Have a good sense of humour
* Remain calm under pressure and have emotional resilience
* Be creative and innovative
* Be keen to develop skills and expertise
* Be competent in the use of IT
