Temporary Site Manager – External Works
Location: Crawley
Rate: £220 - £250 per day
Contract: Temporary (2 Weeks Holiday Cover)
Start Date: Tuesday, 16th July 2025
Are you an experienced Site Manager looking for a short-term opportunity to showcase your skills? We’re working with a leading contractor who needs a confident professional to take charge of external works on a live construction site in Crawley.
About the Role:
As Site Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of external works, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely. You’ll be the key point of contact on-site, managing subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and keeping the project on track.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise daily on-site operations for external works
* Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities
* Monitor progress and ensure works meet quality, safety, and programme requirements
* Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on a live construction site
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager working on external works projects
* Strong background with main contractors (essential)
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates (preferred)
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems
