Quality Manager – Tier 1 Main Contractor

We’re working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering a major high rise residential scheme in South London.
Following the successful delivery of Phase 1, they are now moving into Phase 2 of a significant £300m+ development and are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Quality Manager.
This is a key role with a strong focus on compliance, digital QA systems, and Building Safety Regulator requirements.
The Role
You will take ownership of all quality assurance, compliance, and documentation processes across the project, ensuring full alignment with the Building Safety Act and Gateway 3 requirements.
Working closely with the project and delivery teams, you’ll ensure that all works are properly inspected, recorded, and evidenced through robust digital QA systems, maintaining a fully compliant and traceable “Golden Thread” ahead of handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all quality assurance and compliance processes
* Manage inspection and test plans, ensuring all works are correctly verified and recorded
* Oversee digital QA systems (e.g. Fieldview), ensuring accurate and auditable records
* Drive compliance with BSR Gateway 3 and Golden Thread requirements
* Coordinate handover documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy
* Work alongside Health & Safety teams to align quality and safety inspections
* Carry out audits, reporting, and continuous improvement across the supply chain
* Manage subcontractors and ensure QA standards are consistently met
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quality Manager with a Tier 1 or leading main contractor
* Strong track record on high-rise residential or HRB projects
* In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Gateway process, and Golden Thread
* Experience using digital QA platforms such as Fieldview
* Strong understanding of WIRs, MIRs, ITPs / ITAPs and inspection regimes
* Experience managing complex supply chains and driving compliance
* Degree, HNC or HND in a construction-related discipline
