Post Title: Catering Manager Location: Shireland Biomedical UTC Salary: Band E SCP 18-25 (Actual Salary £29,474 - £34,964 per annum) Hours: 37 hours per week, some evening/academy events, Term Time 3 weeks Required to start as soon as possible The Academy Shireland Biomedical UTC is one of the first UTCs in the country that has a healthcare specialism. We cater for Y7-Y13 and opened our doors in September 2022 with 120 students and have continued to grow each year and will have its first year of being at full capacity with 750 students in 2026. The postholder will: Provide management of the catering facilities within the Academy to provide students, staff and visitors with value for money meals of a high standard. Create a new and varied menu which will enhance and the lunchtime experience of all our students. Providing catering to support Extended School activities, Academy events and meetings. To strive for the continual improvement of the quality of food and service. To ensure compliance with the requirements of food hygiene regulations, Health and Safety, COSH regulations and risk management. Applicants must have experience of working in a high-volume catering environment managing a team of staff.
