Duties And Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delegating the workload of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) personnel in services and manufacturing business segments while supporting the Quality function in developing and understanding proper use of adequate risk assessments, such as root cause analysis, non-conformance, corrective action, and cost of poor quality (COPQ), implementing and interpreting Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs), and maintaining and supporting the Quality Management System (QMS).
Functions
ESSENTIAL
Lead/Managerial Responsibilities
1. Manage and delegate the workload of QA/QC personnel; coordinate scheduling activities to ensure proper QA/QC coverage for all manufacturing, service, and purchasing activities
2. Develop, maintain, and ensure implementation of conformance to inspection and testing plans (ITPs), Incoming Quality Control plans (IQCPs), quality plans, and interpret inspection results
3. Define, identity, record, track and inform quality engineers and managers of non-conformances (i.e. when material / product is not in compliance with specifications or drawings) and COPQ (cost of poor quality)
4. Identify competency needs for quality personnel positions; coach, mentor and establish development plans in order to ensure effective performance and achievement of business objectives
5. Maintain and trend Quality KPIs; link metrics to strategic operational objectives
6. Manage the interface with customers and/or customer 3rd parties for Quality activities
7. Support Quality organization in developing and understanding a proper use of adequate risk assessment, root cause analysis, non-conformance, corrective action, and COPQ collection, as well as continuous improvement projects
8. Represent Quality function during internal/external meetings, including milestone reviews, project kick-off meetings, design reviews, etc.
9. Assess and ensure appropriate application of six sigma process improvements, design, service and manufacturing controls [i.e. Process Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), identification/analysis of characteristics Critical to Process (CTP) and Critical to Quality (CTQ), process capability studies (Cpk), process control plans, gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R), Statistical Process Control (SPC)]
10. Continually develop Organizational Quality Culture through use of QMS and continual improvement initiatives to build a Culture of doing things right, from concept to delivery
Quality Assurance/Quality Control Responsibilities
11. Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS) by reviewing, verifying, approving, and developing or facilitating the development of regional and/or local procedures, as necessary
12. Support internal and external audits for site certifications; verify and distribute work to business units as necessary
13. Develop and lead quality management reviews
14. Ensure the independent asset, product, and component inspection function is in accordance with industry standards, regulatory statutes, and customer requirements

Qualifications
REQUIRED
17. HNC/Diploma/associate’s degree, preferably in QA or related field and demonstrable relevant supervisory experience
OR
18. Extensive related experience in a Supervisory Quality Assurance role.
DESIRED
19. Certified Auditor/Lead Auditor.
20. Green belt certified with proven experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
21. Demonstrable knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO29001.
22. Knowledge and experience of ISO17020 & ISO17025 would be beneficial.
23. Knowledge of measurement techniques, inspection methods, and equipment
24. Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Geometric dimensioning and tolerance training (GD&T), Non-destructive examination methods, inspection and planning techniques

33. 5-10 years’ relevant auditing experience.
34. Minimum 5 years’ relevant root cause analysis experience.
35. Previous work experience in oil & gas, automotive, or medical device field preferred
