Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and forever growing Retailer as they continue to invest in their head office team.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to join the business on a temporary basis, get to know the team and the role, and move into a permanent position over time.
The role
This role sits at the heart of the HR function.
You’ll support the team with day-to-day activity while gaining broad exposure across HR.
It’s a great opportunity if you already have some HR or administrative experience and want to build on it in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting recruitment activity
o Posting job adverts
o Coordinating interviews
o Communicating with candidates
* Assisting with on-boarding and off-boarding
o Preparing contracts and documentation
o Supporting inductions for new starters
* Maintaining accurate employee records
o Digital and paper files
o Handling sensitive information with care
* Coordinating HR activity
o Meetings
o Training sessions
o Surveys
o Taking minutes when required
* Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries across the business
* Supporting the ongoing development of HR policies and procedures
* Updating HR systems and producing reports as needed
What we’re looking for
* Experience in an HR Assistant, HR Administrator, or Administrative role
* Confident using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* A professional, approachable communication style
* Discretion and attention to detail
Experience using HR systems is helpful, but not essential.
