Role: HR Manager

Salary: £45 -55000 per annum

Location: Portsmouth ( 2 to 3 days a week in the office)


Sirius Analysis, we are a rapidly growing consultancy firm, renowned for our reputation and our keen ability to understand and meet customer requirements effectively. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, end-to-end consultancy services, ranging from Project Management through Operational Analysis, we operate across multiple sectors, including defence, nuclear, space and energy. We are looking for HR Manager within Operations team to support our activities across the business as we go through our next phase of growth.

The Role:

As HR Manager, reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will lead day-to-day HR operations and ensure the effective delivery of both strategic and operational people initiatives. You’ll oversee the HR team and manage the full employee lifecycle, including learning and development, performance, inclusion, and wellbeing. Your role ensures HR practices are compliant, consistent, and aligned with business goals.

Operating in a high-security, regulated environment, you’ll share responsibility for people-related Health & Safety, working closely with the Office Manager to support a coordinated approach. You’ll also contribute to international HR compliance and policy alignment across global locations, supporting the organisation’s growth and adherence to international legal requirements.

Your duties will include:

* Oversee end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal policies, employment law, and emerging international requirements as the organisation expands.
* Lead the design and delivery of learning and development programmes, ensuring they are inclusive, role-relevant, and aligned with organisational capability building.
* Implement and maintain the performance management framework, coaching managers in effective development planning and feedback practices.
* Manage compensation and benefits processes, including salary reviews, ensuring fairness, market alignment, and consistency across regions where applicable.
* Maintain data accuracy and optimise processes within the HRIS, supporting effective reporting and HR service delivery.
* Jointly manage people-related Health & Safety with the Office Manager, including risk assessments, wellbeing programmes, and workplace adjustments.
* Contribute to global HR policy development and projects, ensuring alignment with employment law in all relevant jurisdictions.


About You:

Candidates will require expertise in some or all of the following areas:

* Strong experience in HR generalist roles, ideally within regulated, professional services, or international environments.
* Solid knowledge of UK employment law with the ability to apply this confidently in a business environment.
* Skilled in designing and managing HR processes including learning, performance, and compensation.
* Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Understanding of shared Health & Safety responsibilities, particularly in relation to employee wellbeing and compliance.

Qualifications Required:

* CIPD Level 5 qualified; ideally working towards Level 7.
* Training or experience related to international HR law, global mobility, or multi-country compliance (desirable).
* Proficiency in HRIS platforms and standard office software.

Other Requirements:

* Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
* Candidates must be willing to undergo an internal baseline personnel security standard check prior to starting their employment with the company.
* Candidates must be willing and eligible to complete a United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) security clearance application to the Security Check (SC) level upon starting their employment with the company. To gain SC Clearance you will normally need at least 5 years' UK residency.
