Contract Full-Stack JavaScript Developer - Node & Angular 6-month contract (extensions likely) £400 per day – Inside IR35 60% Hybridin Newcastle Opus is supporting a major migration programme for a UK Government department, delivered via a leading consultancy. This programme supports mission-critical services dealing with high user volumes, sensitive data, and complex business processes.We’re hiring Node.js & Angular Engineers to play a key role in frontend modernisation and service delivery. What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting and delivering a large-scale Angular migration
* Building frontend applications using Angular & TypeScript
* Developing backend services with Node.js & Express
* Writing test-driven code (Jest)
* Working within CI/CD pipelines
* Improving automation and frontend standards
* Ensuring accessibility and WCAG compliance
* Contributing to architecture and best practice across teams
Required Experience
* Strong experience with Angular (priority)
* Node.js & Express
* TypeScript
* TDD and automated testing
* CI/CD experience
* Experience working on large, complex digital platforms
* Agile delivery experience
Nice to Have
* Kubernetes or containerisation exposure (Docker)
* Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
* Public sector / government projects
* SQL / NoSQL databases, Redis
* SC eligibility (not mandatory)
