We are looking for a proactive HR Officer / Advisor to provide high-quality, professional HR support across the employee lifecycle. This role places particular emphasis on recruitment, compliance, payroll support, and operational HR administration within a busy and highly regulated environment. They operate across multiple sites within a values-led and supportive culture, offering modern facilities, a focus on wellbeing, and an emphasis on both professional and personal development.DescriptionLead and manage end-to-end recruitment, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment and pre-employment checksPartner with hiring managers to define roles, draft job descriptions, and attract high-quality candidatesDeliver an efficient onboarding and induction process for all new startersMaintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and the Single Central RegisterSupport employee relations processes including probation reviews, disciplinaries, grievances, and absence managementProvide HR advice and guidance to managers and staff, ensuring policy complianceCollaborate with finance to support payroll preparation, salary changes, and related administrationPrepare contracts, contract variations, and HR documentation in line with policyMonitor and record absence and leave, ensuring compliance with processes and timely reportingProduce HR data and management information to support decision-makingContribute to the development and optimisation of HR systems and processesEnsure all HR practices are compliant with safeguarding, employment law, and data protection requirementsProfileA successful HR Officer should have:CIPD Level 3 (minimum)Solid HR generalist experience with strong exposure to recruitment and complianceBackground in a regulated or complex environment (education, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.) preferredConfident in handling fast-paced recruitment and onboarding processes with accuracyGood understanding of employment law, safeguarding, and data managementHigh attention to detail with excellent organisational skillsStrong communicator, able to build relationships across all levelsDiscreet, professional, and comfortable managing sensitive mattersProficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office; knowledge of iTrent or iSAMS an advantageJob OfferA competitive salary up to 40KGenerous holiday allowance and other benefitsOpportunities for professional development and growthA supportive work environmentIf you are ready to take the next step in your HR career, apply now to join a meaningful organisation and make a difference in the workplace
