Site Manager – Water / MEICA
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a business‑critical project within the UK water industry. This is a key role supporting the early stages of a project, working closely with the Programme Manager to deliver high‑quality MEICA installations across multiple sites. This opportunity is ideal for a Site Manager with a strong background in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) and hands‑on experience within the water or utilities sector.
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing multiple sites across the UK water industry
* Supervising construction, fabrication, and MEICA installation activities
* Liaising with clients and providing regular progress updates
* Attending project and design meetings
* Monitoring programme, costs, and workforce performance
* Managing MEICA subcontractors and site teams
* Overseeing commissioning of MEICA systems
* Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards
* Conducting quality, safety, and compliance inspections
* Maintaining site documentation (CPP, PMP, CDM, site diaries)
* Promoting a strong safety culture and delivering toolbox talks
Requirements
Essential:
* Proven experience in MEICA and water industry projects
* Strong understanding of engineering and construction principles
* SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid at Work
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
* Temporary Works Supervisor
* A61 Appointed Person
* MEICA‑related training/certification
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Commercial awareness and problem‑solving ability
* Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX environments
* Understanding of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and BS EN 1090
